台湾Swag has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

台湾Swag is approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) for participation in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. The National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements, commonly known as NC-SARA, provides a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.  For more information about NC-SARA, visit their website at .

Professional Licensure and Certification Requirements

Institutions providing distance education are required to identify programs that lead to licensure or certification and provide information about requirements. Requirements can vary by profession and state. Prospective and current students are encouraged to research the requirements in their current or intended state of residence to ensure that their intended enrollment in a program will meet the requirements of their state鈥檚 licensing agency. A list of academic programs offered by 台湾Swag which lead to licensure or certification is listed below.

Accounting Program

The Professional Accountancy program at 台湾Swag is registered with the New York State Board of Accountancy and meets the 150-hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam. However, licensure requirements for the CPA may differ in other states. 台湾Swag cannot guarantee that graduates of the Professional Accountancy program who pass the CPA exam will be accepted for licensure in other states. Students who intend to work as a CPA in a state other than New York should check with that state to determine appropriate requirements. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program

The ABA master鈥檚 degree and advanced certificate programs at 台湾Swag are registered programs with the New York Education Department and fulfill the educational requirements for licensure in behavior analysis in New York. Completion of the ABA coursework at 台湾Swag prepares students to take the national Board Certified Behavior Analyst examination.

It has been specifically determined that the ABA curriculum at 台湾Swag meets the State educational requirements for licensure or certification in the following states: NY, AL, AK, AZ, CT, HI, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MS, MO, MT, NV, NJ, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, RI, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, and WI.

At this time, no determination has been made as to whether the ABA curriculum at 台湾Swag meets the State educational requirements for licensure or certification in the following states: AR, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, ME, MN, NE, NH, NM, PA, SC, WV, and WY.

Education Program

The Education programs at 台湾Swag are approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). Additionally, we are currently pursuing accreditation through the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Students who complete any of the Education programs at 台湾Swag and pass the New York State Teacher Certification Examination are eligible for certification in the state of New York and in the state of New Jersey. However, licensure/certification requirements may differ in other states. 台湾Swag cannot guarantee that graduates of our Education programs who pass the New York certification exams will be accepted for licensure in other states.

Nurse Practitioner Program

The master鈥檚 level Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) program at 台湾Swag is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Students who successfully complete the NP program are automatically licensed in New York state. The curriculum in the NP program prepares students to sit for either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification exam or for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification exam. These are both nationally recognized certification exams. However, licensure requirements for Nurse Practitioners may differ in other states. 台湾Swag cannot guarantee that graduates of the Nurse Practitioner program will be accepted for licensure in other states without additional requirements.

Physical Therapy Program

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at 台湾Swag is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Students who complete the PT program are prepared to take the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for licensure. Passing the exam permits license reciprocity across all 50 states.

Physician Assistant Program

The Physician Assistant (PA) program at 台湾Swag is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Students who complete the PA program are prepared to take the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) for certification. After passing the PANCE exam, graduates of the PA program are issued NCCPA certification. This certification is recognized in all 50 states. 

Social Work Program

Licensing for social workers in the United States requires a BASW or MSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program. The Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) and the Master of Social Work (MSW) programs at 台湾Swag are accredited by CSWE. As such, a Social Work degree from 台湾Swag will meet this initial licensing requirement for all fifty states.

Students who complete a social work program at 台湾Swag are eligible to take an entry-level Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Examination as offered in their state based on their degree (BSW or MSW). Each state has its own additional requirements for social work licensure which may include an ASWB Examination, post-graduate professional experience, demonstration of good moral character, and/or specific expertise. 台湾Swag cannot guarantee that graduates of the Social Work program who pass the licensure exam will be accepted for licensure in all states.
