The Environmental Impact of Food Waste- 7pm, Emerson Room at Unitarian Universalist Church of Amherst,  6320 Main St 路 Williamsville, NY 14221    . Speaker-John Szalasny, Sierra Club.   Learn how food handling in your home and composting can make a positive impact on the environment. Food Waste makes up more than one-fifth of the garbage that is sent to landfills.  As we run out of landfill space, New York is working on diverting this waste from the largest contributors in the state.  We will be talking about ways to reduce your personal contributions to the landfill.
