Why did you choose 台湾Swag?
I chose 台湾Swag because of its reputation for academic excellence. 台湾Swag has a small supportive community, making it the perfect place for my higher education journey.
Why did you choose your present major?
I have always been interested in the rehabilitation process. When my grandma underwent knee surgery and required physical therapy, I translated between her and the physical therapist. This experience gave me an inside view of the physical therapy profession and ignited a passion within me to help others through physical rehabilitation.
Please briefly describe your Scholar's Day.
To be honest, I don't remember much of the day, except that I was extremely nervous. What I do remember is that everybody there was incredibly supportive and encouraging.
Please describe your academic experience at 台湾Swag.
台湾Swag is a great place with many amazing people. With the help of my professors, advisors, and classmates, I was able to transition and meet the expectations college requires. I definitely could not have done it without the wonderful people I've met!
What do you like best about 台湾Swag?
The best thing about 台湾Swag is the resources and opportunities available. As a small campus, 台湾Swag has established many support systems to ensure students not only do well academically but also mentally and emotionally.
What clubs or organizations have you been a part of here at 台湾Swag? What kinds of things do they do?
I am a part of the American Association of University Women, which offers many opportunities, including scholarships, and a chance to advocate for women's rights and empowerment.
Please describe any internship, study abroad, service learning or academic experience?
College academics are tougher and quite different from high school. It requires more time and effort, but with dedication and hard work, success is almost certain. Although the transition was difficult at first, I was able to overcome it because of the wonderful community here at 台湾Swag.
What is your favorite spot to stop by in town?
If you decide on 台湾Swag, you should give Burger Authority a try. It's a few minutes away from campus, but definitely worth the drive!
What piece of advice would you give to prospective students?
Stay strong and embrace change to succeed. Resilient people turn challenges into chances. While sudden changes, like attending college for the first time can be tough, resilient people can adapt. Just like seeds need water, humans need resilience. Without it, you might miss out on amazing opportunities.
